Everything Moist

Schmutz Cinema collaborates with MU Hybrid Art House in Eindhoven to present Everything Moist, a special programme dedicated to bodies of water and our erotic relationship to fluids, bodily and otherwise.

Inspired by the exhibition Everything Moist Seems Alive, the evening dissolves the boundaries between ecology and desire. The programme features a curated screening of seven short films where liquids flow in abundance, accompanied by a sharp presentation from Myrthe Krepel on how we can become more attentive servants to our ultimate mistress, Mother Earth. Expect an atmospheric exploration of surrender and the mystery and depth that water holds.

Why do we like to be called Mommy? The archetype of mother looms over us across cultures, it’s powerful and ubiquitous so it’s unsurprising that it can show up in our sexual psyches. Maman is a provocative, experimental art film. Moving beyond traditional media, this psychological piece investigates complex power dynamics, maternal archetypes, and intimacy. Maman blends high-concept alternative erotica with performance art to explore submissive care and the connection between the human body and identity.
